Butyl rubber membrane was first developed in the 1930’s and has a proven track record as excellent roofing and waterproofing material. Butynol is Ardex branded butyl membrane.

Butynol is a synthetic rubber with properties which allow it to resist ageing due to heat, sunlight and ozone. It has excellent gas impermeability and toughness and it remains flexible even at low temperatures. Read More Here

Red & Black Roofing’s primary focus is the installation and maintenance of butynol roofs, there are occasions when our trades people and sub-contractors are available for other projects such as metal roofing, cedar shingles, colour steel downpipes, parapet caps, flashings and condition reporting.

We hold a licensed applicator status with Ardex, New Zealand, covering the butynol and eco-butynol range of products.
